¡ESTRENO DE CONCIERTO EN SÓLLER: SIMONE KERMES!

Viena, Berlín, Madrid, París, Nueva York, Moscú, Pekín, Tokio, Sídney...
SIMONE KERMES es una soprano mundial. En realidad, ya ha cantado en todas partes,
excepto quizás en Tanzania. Y ahora su nuevo amor: ¡Mallorca!
El 19 de octubre celebra su estreno en la isla con «VIVA!» en la basílica de Sant Bartomeu en Sóller.
La voz de Simone Kermes abarca cuatro octavas y su repertorio cuatro siglos,
desde Monteverdi hasta Sting. Por su extravagante puesta en escena, se la conoce
como «la Lady Gaga de la música clásica» y «la estrella del rock barroco», pero en realidad
es la reina de la coloratura. Es increíble cómo alcanza alturas vertiginosas en las arias más complicadas.
Y luego vuelve a cantar una canción de amor en el pianissimo más delicado.
El premio musical ECHO la eligió «Cantante del año» en 2011.
«VIVA!» es mucho más que una «velada musical». Cada concierto de Simone Kermes
es una «creación especial», diseñada creativamente a medida por ella misma.
Así, en Sóller también rinde homenaje a un compositor nacional español: Manuel de Falla,
que el año que viene celebra su 150 aniversario.
O, como estreno mundial, una alabanza al verano, especialmente al mallorquín: «Ein Kleid aus Licht»
(Un vestido de luz), originalmente «Junio» de «Las estaciones» de Piotr Ilich Chaikovski,
ahora por primera vez con un texto poético.
Qué suerte: en Sóller también vive la «reina del piano» SUZANNE BRADBURY,
que «inspira» la velada de forma genial.

SIMONE KERMES: ¡la reina!
En el mundo de la música es un caso especial, una soprano excepcional.
¿Qué no se le ha atribuido ya? «La Lady Gaga de la música clásica», «la estrella del rock barroco».
Hace poco, una gran cadena de televisión coronó la mejor «Reina de la noche» de todos los Qempos,
la aria extrema de Mozart, y en lo más alto del trono, junto a Lucia Popp y Edda Moser:

Que iniciara una carrera internacional se lo debe a la señora Kabretz. En aquella época vivía en Leipzig
justo al lado y empujó a la talentosa cantante al coro infanQl de la radio. La pequeña Simone
ascendió rápidamente y pronto ganó un premio tras otro para jóvenes talentos.
Recibió sus primeros aplausos en el Teatro de Coblenza, pero pronto también en Viena, Berlín,
Madrid, París, Nueva York, Moscú, Pekín, Tokio, Sídney...
Brilló como Konstanze, Alcina, Lucia, Donna Anna, Rosalinde, Eurydike...
Pero el papel principal más exitoso fue el suyo propio: con programas muy personales
para su voz de cuatro octavas. Hechos a medida, como sus estridentes trajes, que rompen todos los moldes.
No se trata de una velada musical convencional, «La Kermes» hace vibrar el escenario
con audaces arcos sonoros que abarcan cuatro siglos, desde Monteverdi hasta Gershwin.
Ella es incluso su propia agencia ar`sQca y le gusta tener todo bajo control.
Una prima donna, pero sorprendentemente sencilla.
En 2011 ganó el premio musical ECHO como «Cantante del año».
De sus casi 70 (¡!) álbumes, muchos han encabezado las listas de música clásica,
y ella no deja de reinventarse.
Otra novedad es su amor por Mallorca, donde recientemente celebró un cumpleaños redondo:
«El mar es mi alma, y Mallorca es la isla de la felicidad de Poseidón.
Aquí las inspiraciones fluyen tan fuertes y libres como las olas...».
Su concierto «VIVA!» es un estreno en la isla, con momentos sorprendentes,
incluso con el estreno mundial de una canción de Tchaikovsky.
La acompaña al piano la renombrada SUZANNE BRADBURY.

SUZANNE BRADBURY: PIANO Y FORTISSIMO
Las bellas artes son cosa de familia. Por admiración a Paul Cézanne, sus padres pintores la llamaron Suzanne.
De California directamente a Deià: una infancia de cuento de hadas entre pesca y piano.
Con apenas 12 años, debutó con Haydn y una gran orquesta. Estudió en Nueva York, Múnich y Viena,
ganó concursos internacionales, pero sobre todo se ganó los oídos y los corazones del público.
El legendario Wilhelm Kempff la invitó a una clase magistral, lo que supuso un reconocimiento
y un nuevo comienzo: las salas de conciertos de Inglaterra, Estados Unidos, Alemania, Italia, Francia y España.
Y una y otra vez Mallorca, el hogar de sus dos an[guos pianos de cola Steinway. El más an[guo, de 1887,
navegó durante semanas por el Atlán[co, desde San Francisco hasta Palma.
Hoy en día, los dos pianos de primera calidad llenan su casa en Sóller con sonidos mágicos.
«Suzy», como la llaman sus amigos, domina un amplio repertorio: Schumann, Schubert, Mozart, Mahler,
Liszt, Debussy, pero también «modernos» como Carl Mansker con sus experimentos atonales.
Siempre abierta a lo nuevo, a lo inusual. Así conoció este verano a Simone Kermes,
y ambas supieron tras los primeros compases: ¡tenemos que llevar algo al escenario!
La velada también presenta un estreno mundial: «Ein Kleid aus Licht» (Un ves[do de luz)
de Piotr Ilich Chaikovski con letra de Oliver Spiecker. Originalmente era la melodía del mes de junio
de «Las estaciones», 12 piezas caracterís[cas para cada mes. Ahora es un elogio poé[co al verano.
Suzanne Bradbury no solo brilla como solista o en cuarteto, sino que también domina el arte del
acompañamiento sensible, como esta noche con VIVA! y Simone Kermes.

It's incredible how she powers through the most complicated arias to dizzying heights. 
And then again a love song in the most delicate pianissimo.
The ECHO Music Prize voted her ‘Singer of the Year’ in 2011.

‘VIVA!’ is much more than a ‘recital’. Every concert by Simone Kermes is a ‘special edition",
created by herself. In Sóller, she also pays tribute to a Spanish national composer: 
Manuel de Falla, who celebrates his 150th birthday next year. 
Or, as a world premiere, an eulogy to summer, especially the Mallorcan summer: 
‘A Dress of Light’, originally ‘June’ from ‘The Seasons’ by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, 
now with poetic lyrics for the first time. 

What luck: Sóller is also home to the ‘Queen of the Piano’, SUZANNE BRADBURY, 
who congenially ‘inspires’ the evening.

But she became most successful in the leading role of herself: with highly personal programmes
for her four-octave voice. Tailor-made, like her flamboyant costumes, which break all the moulds.
This is no conven@onal recital: ‘La Kermes’ rocks the stage with bold soundscapes
spanning four centuries, from Monteverdi to Gershwin.
She is even her own ar@st's agent and likes to keep everything under her own control.

The fine arts run in the family. Out of admiraDon for Paul Cézanne, her painter parents named her Suzanne.
From California straight to Deià – a picture-perfect childhood between fishing and finger exercises.
Barely 12 years old, she made her debut with Haydn and a large orchestra. She studied in New York, Munich
and Vienna, won internaDonal compeDDons, but above all won ears and hearts.
The legendary Wilhelm Kempff invited her to a master class, which was both an honour and a new beginning: to
the concert halls of England, America, Germany, Italy, France and Spain.
And again and again Mallorca, the home of her two anDque Steinway grand pianos. The oldest, from 1887,
sailed across the AtlanDc for weeks, from San Francisco to Palma.
Today, the two premium pianos fill her house in Sóller with magical sounds.
‘Suzy’, as her friends call her, has mastered an enormous spectrum: Schumann, Schubert, Mozart, Mahler,
Liszt, Debussy, but also ‘modern’ composers such as Carl Mansker with his atonal experiments.
Always open to the new and unusual. That's how she met Simone Kermes this summer,
and ader the first few bars, both knew: we have to put something on stage!

In der Welt der Musik ist sie ein Sonderfall, ein Ausnahme-Sopran.
Was hat man ihr nicht schon alles angedichtet: „Lady Gaga der Klassik“, „Ba-Rock-Star“.
Erst vor kurzem krönte ein großer Sender die beste „Königin der Nacht“ aller Zeiten,
Mozarts Extrem-Arie, und ganz oben auf dem Thron, mit Lucia Popp und Edda Moser:

Dass sie eine Weltkarriere startete, liegt an Frau Kabretz. Die wohnte damals in Leipzig
gleich nebenan und pushte die Hochbegabte in den Rundfunk-Kinderchor. Klein-Simone

Am Theater Koblenz erlebte sie ihren ersten Applaus, aber bald auch in Wien, Berlin,

mit mutigen Klangbögen über vier Jahrhunderte, von Monteverdi bis Gershwin.
Sie ist sogar ihre eigene Künstleragentur und behält gern alle Fäden in der Hand.
Eine Primadonna - und doch so erstaunlich unkompliziert.
