Die Sängerin und Musikerin Mariana Yegros ist die schillernde Königin der Nu-Cumbia-Bewegung, die Argentiniens Hauptstadt Buenos Aires mit ihrem gleichzeitig traditionellen wie futuristischen Sound begeistert. Aufgewachsen mit argentinischen Akkordeonklängen und dem Rhythmus der Cumbia, absolviert sie zunächst ein Opernstudium.
